Tiffany Koyama Lane

Tiffany Koyama Lane is a candidate for Portland City Council in District 3 (Southeast Portland).

Koyama Lane is a public school teacher and a lead organizer for the Portland Association of Teachers. She played an active role in the 2020 Preschool for All campaign and has also served on Teacher Advisory Councils for the Portland Art Museum and the Japanese American Museum of Oregon.

Koayama Lane is a 2024 graduate of the Oregon Labor Candidate School, a training program for pro-labor candidates.

Her priorities include expanding access to affordable housing, and addiction and behavioral health services. She also supports improving eviction defense mechanisms and resources, investing in public education, and reducing traffic fatalities.

Koyama Lane has committed to the ‘Save Portland Street Response’ pledge, vowing to prioritize, introduce, and vote in favor of full funding for Portland Street Response to operate 24-7 in every budget cycle. Additionally, she has signed the ‘No Police Money Pledge’, rejecting contributions or endorsements from police unions or associations. Further, she is a signatory of a pledge to vote in favor of a Gaza Ceasefire resolution, and a pledge to establish a Renters’ Bill of Rights expanding protections for renters.
