Olivia Clark is a candidate for City Council in District 4 (West Portland and the Reed, Woodstock, and Sellwood-Moreland neighborhoods).
Her experience includes serving as Intergovernmental Relations Director for Governor John Kitzhaber, Executive Director of Public Affairs for TriMet, and Legislative Director of the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality. She is the founder of the non-profit CASA, a nonprofit that builds farm worker housing, and played an active role in establishing the Oregon Cultural Trust. Clark has also chaired the Oregon Providence Health System Board.
Clark’s policy priorities include improving public safety and the city’s emergency response, supporting Portland Street Response (the city’s unarmed mental health crisis responders), and addressing homelessness with expanded shelters, safe rest villages, sobering beds and access to mental health services. She is an advocate for affordable housing production, streamlined permitting, and climate resiliency.
