Michelle DePass is a candidate for Portland City Council in District 2 (North/Northeast Portland).
DePass has a professional background in government policy work and consulting and is currently a Climate Change Analyst for the City of Portland. She has been a member of the Portland Public School Board since 2019 and made history as the first person of color to chair the board.
DePass is a 2017 graduate of Emerge, an Oregon-based training program for Democratic women.
DePass’s campaign priorities include addressing Portland’s housing and drug crisis, prioritizing community input, supporting and investing in small businesses, and improving equitable access to resources for Portland residents. She has signed the Green New Deal pledge, committing to vote in favor of Green New Deal policies.
