Jennifer Park is a candidate for City Council in District 2 (North/Northeast Portland).
Park serves as the Programs Director for the Shadow Project, a nonprofit that provides school-based programs to K-8 students with learning challenges. Simultaneously, she is pursuing an Executive Master’s in Public Administration at Portland State University.
Her campaign website outlines her priorities as equitable community engagement, effective service networks, climate-focused policy making, and restructured public safety.
Park has committed to the ‘Save Portland Street Response’ pledge, vowing to prioritize, introduce, and vote in favor of full funding for Portland Street Response to operate 24-7 in every budget cycle. Further, she is a signatory of a pledge to vote in favor of a Gaza Ceasefire resolution, a pledge to promote Green New Deal policies, and a pledge to establish a Renters’ Bill of Rights expanding protections for renters. She has also signed the “No Police Money” and the “No Fossil Fuel Money” pledges, which are related to campaign contributions.
