Jamie Dunphy is a candidate for Portland City Council in District 1 (East Portland).
Dunphy is the Government Relations Director at the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network. He also serves on the board of Music Portland, a trade association and advocacy group supporting Portland’s music industry, and on the Budget Committee of the Parkrose School Board.
Dunphy’s experience includes serving as a constituent relations representative for U.S. Senator Jeff Merkley and as a senior policy advisor to Portland City Commissioner Nick Fish.
His campaign priorities are listed as livability, small business support, and access to mental health and addiction services. Dunphy also advocates for increased support for the music and arts industry as an economic engine for Portland.
He has signed the ‘No Police Money Pledge,’ vowing to reject contributions and endorsements from police unions or associations.
