Ahlam Osman is a candidate for Portland City Council in District 3 (Southeast Portland).
Osman is the President of the environmental nonprofit Somali Empowerment Circle and the owner and co-founder of Above GRND Coffee. A Senior at Portland State majoring in community development, she has also served as a member of the Multnomah County Youth Commission and as an intern with Metro’s Waste Prevention and Environmental Services Department.
Osman’s priorities include environmental, climate and economic justice, small business support, equitable civic engagement, and sustainable and people-centered planning and development.
